The Gods in Praey for the Gods are the main antagonists and provide the greatest challenge for the Hero who must overcome their immense size and power. There are eight Gods in the game.

Design[]

The Gods were heavily inspired by the Colossi featured in the 2005 game Shadow of the Colossus. When No Matter Studios was formed, the team wanted to make a game involving aspects of other games they enjoyed[1].

Gameplay[]

Aside from the Satyr, the Gods can be challenged in any order. The Revival Temple has Paintings that glow to indicate which God is recommended to fight next, as well as a Pillar of Light shining down from the sky to indicate the location of said God. The Pillar of Light is visible to the Hero from nearly any outside Location and acts as a rough guide to lead them to that God's Arena.

Trivia[]

"Dreki" is an Old Norse word meaning "Dragon", and originates from the Latin "Draco" meaning serpent or dragon.

Concept art was shown of a potential Walrus God, but this was never added to the game.
